Got a few hundred PM's in my inbox/outbox, have seen other users saying they have thousands, need to be able to search them, unsure why the main vB code doesnt' support it but, at least a hack should be out there for it. I searched, didnt' find this requested or asked about even which suprises me, but it is mentioned on vbulletin.com...

I may attempt this if I can find the time (unlikely though)..
It would certainly be useful!

I dont think its easily doable or I'd guess we would have added it in by default. I think the way the system currently works will not allow for easily searchable content.

It would be nice to at least be able to sort by sending instead of just the date received.

This is a three year old thread. Searching PMs is now a vbulletin default feature.

I've been using vBulletin for over 2 years now and I can't find where you can do this in a default vBulletin installation.
Can you please let us know where we can search PM's from??

i think it was added in either 3.7 or 3.8 probably 3.8
If all your templates are upto date, there are filter options at the bottom.

I am running 3.7.3 and there is no filter at the bottom. Must be in 3.8 if it is there.
Thanks for the response.

Yup, just logged into vBulletin.com which is running 3.8.3 and the filter is at the bottom of the private messages screen.
Cool!!! Might have to upgrade just for that feature :D
