Looking for a template that has ....

up the top:

User CP, FAQ, Members, Calendar, Store (amazon), Bet (betfair?), search, quick links, log-out

in the body of the page:

on the left: join or login
in the middle: new posts
on the right: calendar

Is this for the whole site (ie will contain the main forum in the middle) or just for a portal/homepage?

you could look at a portal such as vbadvanced (from www.vbadvanced.com) or something like a modified version of the topXstats would also do this as that shows the x newest members, posts, and top posters.
