Free Ringtones Plugin Powered by Tones9.com

Adding this plugin you can download 1000s of free ringtones directly from a single thread.

Installation is simple.

install the non_thread version and ringtones will be here http://www.yourforums.com/misc.php?do=ringtones
OR
to install navbar version or thread version read ahead
i. install the any one product given,
ii. Make a new free ringtones thread (thread from where ull download the ringtones)
iii. now follow the 2 steps given in the images,, (required)

navbar version places the ringtones under navigation bar in thread.
thread version places the ringtones in 2nd post in thread.
try navbar version if thread version dosent works
try template change version if both navbar and thread version dun work.

How to find threadid
after making new thread, goto main page and see the category where you made new thread..
open thread from there
now the url will be much like http://www.domain.com/showthread.php?t=<thread-id>
now thats your thread id

Yes, I have insert a thread id of Ringtones Sections in the plugin as in the screenshot but I don't see a ringtones in the message...

Create a thread where want this hack to post the ringtones, after you do that go back to up 1 levels then click on the thread you just created and look in the address bar and you will see something like this:

That is going to be your Thread Id #, enter that where the instructions say.

Using the Update it worked!Not for me, using the most recent plugin, the thread is created, the ID is in the plugin....and the thread shows as normal....nothing in it other then my text, no errors.

Because I am generating revenue for someone else. And my site has ads already, I don't want anymore. I saw it in the screenshot, but I thought you put them there. If the ads are gone, I would use it.

I used the template version since the thread version didnt want to work (i use posbit legacy as opposed to the new posbit)

I added this code to the bottom of my postbit legacy template

And i replaced the conditional that checks the thread id with this

And its working fine for me, going to change the way its displayed a bit since my theme is quite graphical based, but thats more for me, hopefully you guys can use what i did if you cant get the thread version to work

So does anyone know how to remove those google ads? I'd like to use it but I can't get my users to click on my ads let alone having someone elses ads on my site. Tones9 is already getting traffic by my users going to their site. That should be enough. I don't see why they should require the ads.

Yep its a good addition but for the adverts, Aside from the google t&c not allowing I am already giving this site traffic i am not advertising their google account as well.

So until that comes off its not going up on my site at least...

Just 2 things I wonder if I can pick your brains on please

1) Some of the MP3 files don't work, only a few, but they appear to be corrupted, is this something that I should contact the site about to report?

2) Is there any way to set this so that only my registered forum members can see the page or better still so that everyone can see the page but only registered users can download, at the moment anyone can come along and download straight from my site.

Either solution for number 2 would be appreciated.
