vbPlaza-Integration

Hello,

if you are using ibProArcade v2.5.5+ and vbPlaza v1.5.5 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?threadid=106953) (or even newer versions), both Hacks are full compatible to eachother and have smooth integration.

ibProArcade automatically detects if vbPlaza is installed and active.
If so, you will find all the Options in the Arcade, like:

Costs per play
Jackpot per Game (static or raising)
Costs per Tournament-ParticipationThe "Costs per play" are defined in ibProArcade's AdminCP in the Game-Settings. Remember those settings do only appear if vbPlaza is detected and active ;)

Then you can choose a Jackpot-Type per Game:
--> static (means always the same amount to win for getting Highscore-Champ)
--> raising (means all costs for playing directly raise the Jackpot which you can win by getting Highscore-Champ)

In vbPlaza-Settings you can tell a raising Jackpot to get raised with X percent of the Costs



If you buy an Arcade-Pass in vbPlaza, you can play all Games for free, but won't win a Jackpot.
In vbPlaza-Settings you can change that to "play for free, but still win Jackpots"



For Tournament-Games you can setup Costs for Participation, so each Player who joins in has to pay that costs once for joining.
The Jackpot of that Tournament is the amount all Players paid, so for example an 8-Player-Tournament with 100 Points each brings a Jackpot of 800 Points :)

Those who have lots of games installed...set scrore in every game..its kinda taugh...but there are +/- 10 catagory.It would be easyer.

this is wonderful, but i ahve over 600 games installed. i suppose i could run an SQL command to set the cost per play for all games? eg. UPDATE vb3_game_settings

WHERE cost_to_play = '0.000'

(with the correct table/field names)

this is fantastic Mrzeropage. Thank you for this announcement, for the explanations (I didn't know any of that stuff before I read this just now). and for the ongoing support. It's very much appreciated.
Because even thought the two are integrated and fully supported by the other.. it's not real clear where to find some settings, what to set them to, and what some things are even for... such as the static and raising thing.

Please make sure you have the actual arcade.php in your /admincp-directory

If that does not help, please provide ACP+FTP-Access so I can check ...

No options for integration with anything other than v3 Arcade. :(

I didtn quite understand the cost of game function when I was installing, and now I've got about 1300 games - is there a way to mass set that option from the back end? A sequel query or something if I wanted to make all games be 15 points? Then I could just go around and make a few select games different prices.. Would also be cool if we could mass-set a cost per game per category...

go into AdminCP -> Game List

at the bottom there are several options for multiple settings like costs ect.
if you set a filter (at the top) to a category you can filter a category and then mark all the games in it and set the costs :)

I don't get the vbPlaza integration options either.

I had vB 3.5.3, vbPlaza 1.5.5 and v3Arcade
I upgraded to vb 3.6, then upgraded to vbPlaza to 1.5.8
I then installed ibPro 2.5.6 and used the converter script

costs have a seperate setting in vbPlaza-settings with some percentage, check this.

Yes, they are all set at raising jackpot.

I checked the options in vbPlaza but I don't see anything that would effect this.

When you're viewing the arcade it says games cost 10 but it really takes nothing.

ibProArcade just provides Hooks for Plugins in some places to get this working

Go to the vBPlaza download and you will find an extra folder for "Addons". Inside that folder is additional pluggins that are required for the ibProArcade integration as well as a second product that must be installed

I think I found the problem regarding the above issue, but I am not a coder, etc, so I can't help fix it properly and as such broke it a little, but with much minor issues. I did however fix it for my needs, and until a proper fix comes from someone that knows what they are doing as opposed to me, then I will use it since it's better than above I think. Again, please realize, I really have no idea what I am doing, so back up your arcade.php file if you want to try this.

That said, I added some hard coded text because my "fix" disabled the $costhtmlstart and removed the "Costs to play" text, as again, I really have no idea what I am doing here. Anyways, this is what I did, and hopefully from that Mr. Z can find a proper fix for us.

Basicly all I did was change $costhtmlstart .= to $costhtmlstart = (took the period out) and that fixed it (but caused other smaller issues), added the hard Coded vbbux text and a <br />

Open arcade.php

Please wait to next vBPlaza-version to be released, which will be bugfixed.
