Hi there,
I've used Vbulletin quite a bit and we have just purchased a license for our site. However, I like the simple, compact style of our current forum which is Simpleboard using the Mambo CMS which can be viewed in action here (http://www.poker.ie/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=41&func=view&id=8542&catid=11). Now if all them posts were to be posted on a default Vbulletin page, like this forum, the page would stretch much further down due to the size of the font and space assigned to each post (large space for title, buttons, post number and time stamp etc). Is there any way to get vbulletin to become more compact like the forum in the linked page and still have all the features of Vbulletin?

Is this a case of a different style or what? Is there anywhere I can get pre made templates with a more compact style? And can they be viewed before they are installed? I had a look at the style forum but all new styles seem to have the same size buttons and posts etc. Is there a gallery of different sized pages I can see anywhere?

Also, one little question, I bought the full license and paid for:
vBulletin (Owned License)
The owned vBulletin Forum license allows you to run the software on your site indefinitely. Along with this license, you will receive one year of free updates. Beyond the first year, you will have to pay a nominal fee, currently $30, to obtain updates for an additional year.

but in the email confirmation I got, it says:

vBulletin (Owned License); expires: Apr 11th '07

Does this mean the whole license will expire this day next year:surprised: or just my update privilages of which I will have to pay $30 to renew?

Any feedback would be appreciated:)

For your first question in Admin CP go to:

Styles & Templates --> Style Manager --> StyleVars and change the with to the specific pixel you want. I have mine at 770 (don't enter the "px" in the entry).

As for your second question that just means that your right to direct support and updates will expire on April 11, 2007 if you choose not to extend your membership fee.
