even having a log system wont prevent some users to spam our members. This would be awesome in my opinion.

Doesnt work for me.....I get a server 500 error after it times out, it just sits there for maybe 5 mins or so...then gives me the error.

yes :(, i'll work on improve this pointOkay, that could seriously hamper a lot of servers if the total starts to rise above about 50/100 at a time (depending on how powerful the server is).

If you change the 'true' to 'false' in this line, then they will go to the queue system.
vbmail($user['email'], $subject, $message, true);That's still a problem for most people, but it is at least then solvable with something like my cron based (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=107174) mail queue processing.

Installed.

I've had to tweak a couple of things though, namely

didn't work for me, and I had to replace it with
<if condition="$show['send_update']"><a href="misc.php?$session[sessionurl]do=update&t=$thread[threadid]">$vbphrase[sendup_send_update]</a></if>

Other than that, I had a complete nightmare getting it to update from 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 as I installed then discovered the update (typical really). It wouldn't overwrite properly, then wouldn't uninstall, so I had to do a big chunk of it manually via phpmyadmin, which wasn't fun at all :(

On the plus side, I can see this being really useful.

Nope; when changing the code version the settings for the permission is no longer shown in the forum menue.

So you have to leave ist as it is or change another code in the script.

It even does not alter the table forum with "allowupdate".

So if one of you have the same error use this with phpmyadmin:

ALTER TABLE vb3_forum ADD allowupdate SMALLINT(5) UNSIGNED DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL;

If "Enable Pming?" is set to 'yes' and "Enable mailing?" is set to 'yes', too, the thread starter sends a message to the users as a PM and a mail?

I just don't get the following sentence:

i have a problem :(

the email side is working but i have a small sized thread of 4 pages with a few replies but the users aren't recieving the PMs.

I've tested it with one other thread and a test user and they get mail and PM but this other thread just doesn't play ball :(. Both threads are in the same forum for starters and started by the same user.

Thread 1 has 1 reply from the tester.
Thread 2 has lots of replys from users in the same user groups and a reply from tester.


THREAD 1 - PM & EMAIL goes to tester fine.
THREAD 2 - EMAIL goest to tester PM never arrives.

Don't know why its not doing this, any ideas?

i think i can shead a bit more light onto this now. THREAD 2 is an older thread which was created pre-hack installation. So i'm guessing that its missing some kind of flag that makes the PMs procesisng work?

just tested the issue again with a new thread...after more than one user adds a reply pms stop working...could it be a usergroup permission? I'm reacing now as i really need both for this to be appropriate anyone else got this problem?

do you have the vbi-gallery installed? i just figured out after looking through an error that i got with my vbi gallery that they don't mesh....

i had the product named .en installed...so i overwrote it with the plain one and woo hoo my forum was created....
