chaning the thread titles

okay I've noticed something and I thought it was just my board but I see it on all vb sites

here is an example

so I make a thread on my site

* Jonny goes to toown*

and say it's posted and I don't notice the spelling mistake for a few days, ten I go to edit and fix it
* Jonny goes to town*

well the title still doesn't change ?
why is that and how can I fix it.. my site is going to have events posted and sometimes they change at the last moment, and these titles will need edited.. but it doesn't matter if I edit them if they don't change..

anyway to fix this ?

if you change the title with edit it just changes the title thats above the first message.
use edit thread in thread tools.
you might have to check permissions.

the title has a typo I made in copying..

( macheen MACHEEN ) should only be one, anyways.. any other thoughts ? thx
