Creating Styles?

Ok i was wondering where a person would go to learn how to make styles. I pick up on things fast. I am very good with photoshop and very good coder (C+, C#) wise, Php is new to me but with the right place to start i am sure i could pick it up in a few months. (maybe more hehe) anyway just wondering most of the styles i have bought / downloaded seem to contain images and a xml installer / product xml. Could anyone point me into the right forum :)

It's really just a case of getting to know what template changes what part of the forum... trial and error mostly LOL - I'm in the process of writing a tutorial on making a basic style for VB for my new site and after that will probably expand on it to list some of the more complex ideas.
