Description: This will add a box above the "What's going on?" box on the FORUMHOME. Users may purchase an ad space through the vBulletin payments system (not intergrated - you must put the ad image and url there yourself by editing the template; see below.)

Make a subscription for banner advertising at what ever cost you'd like. (ACP -> Paid Subscriptions -> Add New Subscription)
Do the one FORUMHOME template edit.
Customize your ads!Template Edit:

Interesting, Seems abit of a hastle having to edit the template everytime you want to change though. I'm sure theres a way round this?

Working on it. It'll be done through the vBulletin Options setting when I finish.

I installed, but nothing showed up. Probably jsut a little compatibility error on my site. I will give it a day or two i guess and re-install.

Is your FORUMHOME template heavily modded?

Not with this mod, sorry. Possibly a future feature.

Probably not. I'll be out of town next week, and I have one more thing to do with this before I look into the number of clicks per ad, and then I'll have to learn how to do it. ;)

If I wanted to display this on every page of the site, would I just put that code in the footer template?

If this let people upload their own images and set their own links it would be WAY better. Good idea though. Will be keeping an eye on it. :-)

I just switched over and started using GAB (Geek Advertising Banner System). It works great on vBulletin 3.5.4, and integrates with vBulletin and vBAdvance's CMPS system.

It's currently in Beta (Revision 3), and a new system coming out called GUSH will provide a great way to work with ads, and allow users to pay for and manage / view stats of the ads... All without you doing one thing... It's got my vote & support.

Add this to the very top of your footer (for the bottom)

This is the solution I use (GAB - Geek Advertising Banner System). It costs a few dollars, but it really does a great job at an affordable price.
