So the PM's have a preview now vs. just a title listing.
- Is there an option to fix this to normal list vs. all the extra info of the preview?
- All that junk is neat to many, but a waste of time to me.

"Junk?"

That's the private message!

That preview makes it possible to manage a crowded in-box without having to open up each one individually.

At the most I'd like to see an option for users to choose. But I'd hate to see it go away, as I've come to really rely on it.

Cool you do not deal w a lot of PM's I guess - List format is 10x faster to scan on.
- 50 - 100 PM's a day
- The preview makes it crowded.

I deal with lots of PM's here :)

It does look crowded, but at the same time it's very useful.

Actually I do deal with lots of PM's. That's precisely when it comes in handy most.

50-100 per day? With that many, how exactly would you differentiate between the following PM's?

Most of the people I talk to are more descriptive in subject titles. What kind of goof uses generic titles like that ?

Anything that is not direct and to the point like is DELed. "Thanking Me" gets DELed after respond unless it has info for a job. I do not keep history unless dealing w/ a current jobs - they get moved to "save" folder. There is no back and forth talk like IM. If there is a need of multi messages back and forth it is moved to IM / IRC.

6120+ IM's and going Trillian got to love it :)
- some times it's like Christmas all year round.

You must be very lucky. Because

What kind of goof uses generic titles like that ?

judging from that, nearly everyone on vb.org can be considered to be a goof. ;)

What kind of goof uses generic titles like that ? Um, most of the people on vb.org apparently (in my experience anyway).
