catergorizing threads

I was wondering if anyone knew how i can categorize my threads like
http://forums.slickdeals.net/forumdisplay.php?sduid=0&f=9

see how they have lil icons with tech, dvd, video, other, etc.... and they can be click to show only those categories first

does anyone know how i can do that?

Could you maybe adapt the Prefix hack? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=99925 I don't know if the prefixes can be made clickable/sortable.

Well, I spose so, as your posting a thread lol

It also looks like they have hacked it so that you HAVE to select an icon
before you can submit the (thread)

Looks like a good idea, Although, there is always the Thread Prefix hack
Slightly different, its text only but i am 90% sure you can sort by prefix
Now if you can that change it so that the prefix uses an image insted of text
then that would work very well...

If not that you would have to add the post/thread (;))icons that you require
and try to find a hack (might be standard) that requires the icon before submitting post/thread
