Grabbing news from a non RSS feed site?

Hey all

Is there a script that anyone here knows of which grabs news from selected websites, which doesn't have RSS feed, then puts that news into an RSS compatible file on my webserver?

I'm positive there was such a script, but it grabbed the info then stored it into an RDF? file.

That would have to be custom coded for each website or for each website software at least.
