need to know if this is possible before i buy

Hi all,

I am looking into using VB, however there is a certain mod that i will require and really, just need to know its possible to achieve before i purchase a license.

I am looking into starting a board that has a section for advertising items for sale privately. I need to set up a catagory of forums that has private replies to the posts made. What i mean is, anybody can place a new post (an ad) but any replies to the post are sent directly to the originators PM box and are not shown in the forum, So basically, the forums are just a list of ads.

Every thing else that i will need will be easy enough to sort out through the standard mods availible.

I realise that what im asking is prob not a standard mod, but 'can' it be achieved, i dont mind paying for it to be written and i deffo need it.

Well, it can by achieved by not allowing replies to threads, thus forcing people to contact the seller via PM to work it out. If you wanted, you could use something like a dynamic announcements system that would appear accross the site and remind people to make offers to the seller via PM.

Actually it would also be possible to allow replies to those forums, but those replies will actually be pms, not really a hard modification to write :)

thats great, well VB has certanly sold another license. When im ready, what forum would be the best place to find someone to commission such a mod
