Complete Newbie question

Hello

This looks like an excellent forum and I am sure I will be spending alot of my time here, however - When I see something that I want (for example the google adsence thing) and I click on the 'Install' button - nothing happens

Can someone please explain what it is I have to do - or point me to general FAQ or whatever as I can't seem to find it!

The install button just adds to a counter so it can track how popular a specific hack is. The other reason is so that users who install it can be updated when updates come out for it.

To actually install the hack, you'll have to read the instructions provided since they will all be different.

OMG how dumb am I - I thought it was the same sort of thing firefox uses!

Don't worry, others have admitted to thinking the install button would magically install onto your forum too ;)
