Diable "Quote" function

I need a hack, which to disable "Quote" function in some forums.

Lol let me guess, you have a buggy Hide hack installed? ;)

You could do it with a simple template edit, just add a condition on forumids around the quote button.

You are the first person I've ever known to want to disable this, you are aware that your users will probally go out of their way to quote people now anyhow?

No, I have some forums display pictures, embed mp3 players ....and my users quoted all times => forum looks messy. So, i don't want them able to do that .

I'd be interested to be able to not allow quotes with images,etc and would like the option to not have quotes if I had a photo gallery forum.

Then why not modify the quote system to remove html and other bbcode?

Theres a hack around that when you quote IMAGEs it just shows the LINK and not the pic itself

like marco said, use conditionals in template to disable quote button in certain forums.
