hello

i know this might seem like a real nOOb question, but ive only just started using VB, i have the 3.5.3 version but i want to upgrade to 3.5.4.

problem is, i dont know how to?

i know i have to re-download the 3.5.4 package but does this mean i need to re install vb like i did when i first got vb in the same manner?

also the template i am using for my board is a custom made one from a friend who has dissapeared. i am pretty worried about reinstalling the template again. isit a easy process?

i know hacks will stay installed but does the template modificatons go back to how they was before? i.e do i need to re doo them as most of the hacks i installed required template modifications.

please could someone help me out.

thank you :)

1: Re download the new zip & extract all the files onto your desktop.
2: With ftp upload all the new files ( I skip the images & config file) over writting the older ones.
3: Run the upgrade script.
4: You are done.

Took my 15 minutes to do my site and a site I admin.

Will the upgrade affect the hacks that you have installed? In another words, do you have to reinstall all the hacks & templates, etc...?

Only if they required you to edit the actual PHP files.
