Your running a 3.5.1...
And im running a 3.6

I think it only works with the 3.5.4 and if you upgrade to 3.6 using the upgrade.php it will work that way, almost like the radio formula

I can not get this to work on my vB 3.6. I was told that this will not work with the latest version of the Photopost vBGallery due to some of the functions this is using. I have tried nearly everthing and can not get it to properly work. Please let me know.

Its basically just a memerinfo template behing copypied pasted. theres really not much to change.

The whole idea of support forums is so that we can share information and help people to help themselves. As an example when you got this error had you looked at the error message and looked a 'common bit of information / error message' like .links' doesn't exist and used that text in 'search this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=1069697&nojs=1#goto_threadsearch)' you would have been able to solve your problem on your own.

You have to make the profile fields on your site match the ones that are in the memberinfo

There is 1 zip [Choiceable] to upload and there is 1 template to edit. Then you make profile fields to match them.
It takes a while for the first time, but its not that bad.

You copy paste his script and Replace it with your MEMBERINFO template. And you fix the profile fields so it matches it.

I want to get to my profiles by going to "website.com/username" (without the word forum)

Here is my .htaccess.

This works well for pulling up the profile html,

However ... because this is now outside the forum root, all the links, avatars images etc. are missing out the "forums/" part of the url and thus not working.

Any idea how I can work around this?

I read this whole thread last night (again) and couldn't find it mentioned ... But I've been thinking the same; that I'd have to have the full path to everything in the memberinfo template.

After installing this, when I go to the /{username} links, it shows a db error

I don't know because I'm not using that mod. Look for another site that's using that mod (search in this thread)... click on the URL and see where it takes you... then apply that URL to your own domain.

All work perfect for me except that when you do www.site.com/membername (http://www.site.com/membername)
it points to the corect page but all images are broken as they look for a folder /images instead of /forums/images

You'll also find that your navbar and footer links don't work properly and neither will your IM links. (the /forums/ part will be missing from everything)

Quickest way round it is to create a subdomain for something like members.yoursite.com and redirect it to your forums URL ... Therefore you have "members.yoursite.com/username" instead of "yoursite.com/forums/username"

Personally I plan to hardcode all the URL's at some point .. but I have a little bit of a life so it can wait for a very rainy day.

The PhotoPost User Information (Photos Submitted:, Photos Viewed: and Comments Given: ) was working fine until I updated to 3.6.1 from 3.6.0 ... but the (Latest Gallery Submissions) is working, both of these use <if condition="$profileimagebits">. I can not figure out why it stopped working.

Help:

When I updated to from 3.6.0 to 3.6.1 the (Photos and Photo Comments) on the user's profile page (My Profile) stopped working and I have not been able to figure out why.

The information I need was found in this message (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=942150&postcount=497),... this message had been removed. I saved the link to the post but I did not save the content, my mistake, now I don't have the information that I need to get this to work again.

Can anyone help me get this working again .... if anybody is interested I managed to get "Auto PM after add Buddy" to work with 3.6.1, keep in mind I'm not a coder but it will work until it is updated by Antivirus and then all you need to do is update.

Not a lot that I can go into really without stripping the whole thing apart. I have far more hacks than I care to go into detail about.

Since your forum, is centered* as in a Fixed skin, You can't really have any more space then what you already have , I think you mean the space in the middle to divide it?

oh and btw to any other members, i used the BBCODE so when you break lines in the edit profile feild, it would break lines in your profile.. but when members enter symbols like "&" and " " " (quotation marks) they show up different. The only ones i've caught so far are as followed..

Edit: I found out what the problem is. The code about refers to vbgallery, while I have photopost instead. I'd like to replace this link with either a link to the users photopost entries (Although I have the last 8 entries on the profile) or to the profile pic, members can standard enter into vbulletin. Another option is to get rid of the link. Either way makes me happy.

You don't need VB Advanced. If you want it to display recent photos then yes you need to buy Photopost or Photopost Gallery (formerly VBA Gallery).

oh and btw to any other members, i used the BBCODE so when you break lines in the edit profile feild, it would break lines in your profile.. but when members enter symbols like "&" and " " " (quotation marks) they show up different. The only ones i've caught so far are as followed..

I am having that same problem. I created the plugin to make the line breaks work for my selected fields. But as soon as I did that, all the special characters like [ " ] and [ & ] began giving code instead of the actual character. If anyone has a fix that would be nice.

I also wanted my comments to work on my 3.6.3 vbulletin board but they don't. As the Administrator, they work just fine, but everybody else is a no go.

So to get a solution, I just paid for the comment system @ visionscripts.com. Hopefully that would be all I need and hopefully it will import my old comments from the "Profile Comment System 1.0.0 dvbt_commentsys" that worked in my old 3.5.3 board.

I noticed in June they said they would get it to for free, just like before. But it's Novemebr now, and no updates have been made. So I was forced to buy.

the BBCode plugin can be cleaned up a bit. this is enough to do multiple fields. the original plugin was requiring class_bbcode multiple times

To make the Profile have different header bars, just create the CSS tags you wish ex. .headerbar and define them in "Additional CSS Definitions" of the style under "All style options". Then edit the MEMBERINFO CSS tags to reflect that. For example, replace .thead with .headerbar

I want my profiles to remain in the forum template and not end up like yours.

I honestly want the profiles to be loaded within the side borders.

For the bbcode, it depends on what fields the parser plugin was set up for. You can only use the bbcode in the fields specified in the plugin.

Unfortunately for me, it was an early morning hour when I began working on it (about 3am) and my brain was fuzzy. I figured it out the next day after a good bit of sleep :)

My issue now is the CSS area. I've edited the field id to 16 (css in my setup). Some works, but it won't do images for me or suchlike. I'm by no means an expert in css (or much, really) but I can follow the gist of things to a reasonable level, but thus far, i'm stumped.

More than likely there isn't as this is just one big template edit/customization. It's up to the user though to make it XHTML compliant though :)
