Question if someone can help me out.

I did a search and found nothing, so here I am.

I have been offered a job, moving a site from one host to another.

From what I have read, it seems fairly straight forward, so my question is.

How much should I charge, What is the norm for a project like this?

Being a Computer Consultant, I could just charge my normal hourly rate, but for work like this, that may be construed as gouging to some.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Mods: If this is in the wrong forum, could you please move it? I was not sure ;)

Thank you and have a good day

I would charge your set hourly fee. That is what I do. You never know what could go wrong. I have moved sites in less that 3 hours db and all and I had a couple due to bad configurations that took me 18+ hours. Also let them know up front that they expect a minimun of hours charged. I charge for 4 and if I see there will be problems on the new server I explain that it will take longer than expected.
