Lol, I am in the installing proccess now. I will let you know how it run on my board when I am finished installing and testing.
I still like those Terms and Privacy, Safety Tips from myspace.com. I emailed them at least 50 times just to ask for their permission to use some contents of those things(of course I will leave the copy right intact) but they just never hit me a reply. Also the Safety Tips , I emailed to wiredsafety.org to ask for their permission also but they just totally ignore me.
Well, just a thought, if they made something that helpful for people, why they don't encourage to use their contents, especially they are always talking about safety internet, but they just hardly to let people use some of their contents.

there is no admin panel

all you have to do is create 2 phrases ..
In your favorite editor, create the contents of the page. HTML is allowed.
When you finish with the contents of the page, create 2 phrases (an optional subtitle is available).
"gtcustom_about_header" - title of custom page
"gtcustom_about" - contents of custom page
"gtcustom_about_subtitle" -optional subtitle for custom page; the subtitle (table cell) will only display if it's created
That's it! Now, go visit the page via URL: $vboptions/goto.php?section=about

Need another example? Ok, let's create a SITE RULES page...

this may / may not answer your question - if you want to get rid of the left boxes, edit goto.php, at the very bottom of file, change call to "CUSTOM_SHELL" to "GENERIC_SHELL" so it will display full page width. I imagine you could edit those shell templates to add content to the boxes if you want...

just one question though. On the navbar it's only got the down arrow that allows access to FAQ, Terms of Service, etc, etc... But when I use the search function 'search.php' the navbar function says 'help' with the down arrow...

I was hoping to add code for my page that included a php include in it.

When I add code like this

Hi Princeton (and others)!

The whole story about my site (not yet lanched) is to store knowledge in different shapes and forms.

One shape is of course a forum where people can ask question and recieve answers.

But another shape is as follows:

1. Documents (e.g. pdf) are uploaded to the site. The plan today is the use a thread for every document.
2. Structure (very similair to princetons sitemap) should visualize a structure (like a content of a book) every as a folder structure in windows explorer.
3. On every leaf in the structure should a link to the document (to the thread if my idea works).
4. Could the structure also be able to collaps expand would all my wishes come true :-)

Q: does anything like this exist today?

Thanks for a great hack, i have installed it and added the pages to the 'help' drop down menu. Everthing works great. However i am having a small problem after i have created new pages of my own. The new pages are fine, except that the drop down menu doesnt show them. I have added the new pages to the navbar template just the same as the others, but the new pages doesnt show on this menu. Any ideas what i am do wrong?

I am running it on 3.6.4 and it works really well.

I am however having one small problem, but its more my error i think.
I have just started using the referral system, and so i copied the bit about referrals fom the FAQ manager and put it into its own page using this system. The problem that i am having is that it is not fireing the code. I mean where it says in the text i copied '$vboptions[bbtitle]', that is what is exactly displayed on the final page.
I can work around that, but the main part, where it is giving out the referral ID
'<a href="$vboptions[bburl]/$vboptions[forumhome].php?referrerid=$bbuserinfo[userid]">$vboptions[bburl]/$vboptions[forumhome].php?referrerid=$bbuserinfo[userid]</a>'
again, that is literally what is displayed.

What can i do for it to display the correct info?

I just installed this on vBUlletin 3.6.5 and after fixes the template edits to work with my style, it works fine. However I do have one issue. Looking at the terms of service I see:

I downloaded the product and it looks like the custom settings are not there. (probably left them out on the last update)

Here's what you have to do (in case others are interested)...

Remove the following phrases from your system (if they exist):

setting_gtc_phonenumber_desc
setting_gtc_phonenumber_title
setting_gtc_state_country_desc
setting_gtc_state_country_title
setting_gtc_tollnumber_desc
setting_gtc_tollnumber_titleFYI: the system may give you an error if you don't.

Once they are removed create the following custom settings:

gtc_phonenumber

Title: Phone Number
Description: Enter company phone numbergtc_state_country
Title: Company County / State / Country
Description: Enter county, state, and country of business location. For example, "CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ, U.S.A".gtc_tollnumber

Interesting - I tell ya though... The modification is originally made for vB 3.5.3
So if you've upgraded to the RC versions of 3.7 - you may be out of luck.
Possibly you should PM/ask PRINCETON if he has any plans to update GTCustom Pages to make it compatible with the new vB.
