Can someone make an add-on for the eBux / eStore hack that allows you to purchase eBux via PayPal? He said he doesn't want to do it, but will allow someone else to do it.

This would require a fair amount of work, so I somewhat doubt someone will make it for free ...

It wouldn't take any longer than the eBux / eStore hack itself. Besides, it's a hack every single person would want to add onto their installation anyways. I wouldn't understand why anyone wouldn't.

I'm willing to pay $40 to $50 for addon like that, its only fair, if we want to earn income through ebux points and paypal that it should cost something, if someone made the addon.

Appreciate the addon for GM, but I'd still like an addon to the actual eBux eStore.

I would be intrested in this aswell. Maybe ask the guy who coded the ribbons or ask CMX himself to code it himself?

CMX already said that he won't do it.

I wouldn't understand why anyone wouldn't.It depends on one's philosophy. If you want points to be rewards for contributions to your forums, then you are cheating those who contribute by allowing others to just buy points. Which will result in less useful contributions to your forum, while it may give you some revenue from selling points. In the end forum content will always outperform whatever small cash you make from selling points. If you lose quality content, then users may lose interest, ad revenue will go down, etc etc.

Of course it's all situational, but just as you are certain that everyone would install a "purchase points" system, I am equally certain that many would rather not. ;)

I haven't tested this out but this should be a quick and easy of doing this.

create a new usegroup
create a new paid subscription.

Users should get added to the new usergroup you just created.
subscription length should be set to one day.

use the ebux paychex system to give users in the new usergroup x points per day.

@reeva, this isn't a good way to do it, as you would have to make a new usergroup for every amount of credits you want to sell.
However, if somebody is willing to pay €50 (or more) for it, I want to do this.

That's not true. If you set it to one day, and make the paycheck pay everyone in that usergroup at 12:00pm every day, then it'd work perfectly. Then you can set different payment amounts: one day for $1.00, two days for $2.00, and so on. Then when the paycheck goes off againt the next day, you're given the amount again.

While writing that out, I realized what you meant. You'd have to pay over a period of time, hmm? Yeah. Not likin that now.
