Hey all,

Introduction

This modification, installs a Banner Management system for use with Google ADSense Advertisements.
It is a very simple modification that allows you to add google Ads to your forum using the Admin Control Panel.

Features

The features of Google Banner Manage are below:


Header AD Code - Change the Banner code that is shown in the header of your forum.
Footer AD Code - Change the Banner code that is shown in the footer of your forum.
First Post AD Code - Change the Banner code that is shown after the first post of every topic.
First Post AD Code Title - Change the title for the Banner AD that is shown after every first post.
First Post Switch - Switch the First Post Banner AD On and Off.

It's a simple modification but I believe it makes a difference and makes it easier to add your AdSense advertisements to your forums :)

Yes it should be :)
Just enter the correct YPN Ad code into the box in admincp :)

First of all, thank you very much for creating this hack. Nice Job. I believe I'm having the same problem as member 'Titodj'. The header and footer code does work, but I tested the first post ad by created a new thread an put in 2 posts and no ad appeared. If anyone has any advice on this I'd appreciate it. Thanks again.

Excellent mod...a great addition would be able to set which groups are shown the ads. Then I think you have a very complete mod here.

I am having the same first post problem as the others. Thanks for a wonderful mod though anyways :)

Also, any way to move the footer ads from the very bottom to on top of the "Who's Online?" box? I tried in the templates but had no luck.

Well Im having the same problem as everyone it seems

First post ads dont show up

Footer ad only shows up on indexpage. When you go inside a forum no more footer ad.

Any ideas?

Sure!

Im seriously thinking about doing a complete rewrite of the modification just so all bugs are finally squished :p
I've started, but I have my GCSE's coming up VERY soon and so I will be taking a while off for about a month. You can safely expect the next version to have more features (I.e. more places to place your ads etc) and no more of them horrible bugs ;)
I will continue progress of the next version as soon as my exams are over ;)

But the first post ad wont work for me. I just cant get it done.

I put the $postad in the postbit template, put is on in the ACP and put my google code there, but i wont see anyting happen.

Any idea? Maybe a forum where its working, so i can see how it has to be?

Does anyone know a manual way to do the first post ad??? It's 2008 and this seems to have died. Gotta love people that don't deliver on their promises.
