Make your forums act as multiple forums!
Changes this plugin makes:
1.Index Page remains the same..
2.every main category acts as a new forum
3.Navigation bar is changed (does not show the index.php link.. only the category name)
4.the main category page has user statistics on the last

Update
1. Replaced cp link to Index link.
2. Set in admin panel which forums to act as multi forum or which not to act as multi froum
tested on different skins and vb 3.5.x
download the xml file and install via your admin panel

Unistall previous version and install this one!
n yes press intall here too :D

it was on sale before but i decided to make it free
but you can still donate :D

Be very careful. There is a fine line when it comes to violating the license :(

You need to be certain that there is never any question that it is all the same site. Whether it is just keeping the same site name on the header or what have ya.

If this was combined with a style change per forum that changed the header, it could easily look like completely different sites.. then you'd have the vb team all over ya.

Great idea! Great hack! Just be careful how ya use it :)

The vB team aren't witch hunters. I say good job and thank you. The vB team has means of seeing if there is a problem, and they are going to open dialogue first before they shoot.

I have been using something like this on my forums for awhile now. Except it has users online, total posts, most ever online for that area only. You might want to add that to yours.

I dont really get it to be honest...Isnt the point of subforms for a section/category the same thing?

If possible could you link us to test this out in a live demo?

Hm, this might be a violation of the vB license agreements.
I will wait to install this, but when it proofs to be okay I might have use for this. ;)

Except it has users online, total posts, most ever online for that area only. You might want to add that to yours.
That would be a nice addition. What about being able to specify what forum ids you want to have act in this way, rather than it just being limited to all main category ids.

Assuming it's within vB licence of course... :)

I think it was a really cool idea that you had in mind when creating this, but I'm afraid it's more confusing to members than it is helpful.

Ok found a bug if you have the additional breadcrumb bar at the bottom....

http://www.gsnforce.com/forum/showthread.php?p=10285#post10285

look at the bottom it has the forum name and it has a blank option behind it.

GamerJunk.net

Ok I had to disable this because you can't click the forum to go back into the forum. It disabls the link to go back into the forum.

useing the currentversion, and this link should be to the index.. how can I change it ?

if you directly goto any other page without going to any thread or category!, Forum is made as main title, cz this plugin was made to restrict the access to index, and making forumdisplay the main page..., if plugin dosent knows which category you first visited it just replaces the link with control panel..

Hi, this was the exact modification I was looking for. However, I was wondering if I could make it so it only affects a certain specified forum, rather then making it affect them globally.

So basically I want forumdisplay.php?f=422 to look like the forumindex however I do not want anything other then 422 to look different.

Thanks.

emin3m, is there a reverse way of darkmage wanted? Like I just want a specific forum/category to look different, the rest stay the same?

You don't need a mod:

forum.php?f=X should get the job done.
