How do I get my Icon to show in my favorites like vb.org?

The icon is in my root directory and it still isn't displaying.

browsers sometimes cache the silly thing. As long as you have it in the right place in your home directory, it should eventually show up properly.

so if I clear my cache it should popup?

Not necessarily. If you google favicons, you will see some tips on getting them to show.

The favicon has to be linked in the <head> section:
