View Full Version : Where can I sell my copy of vBulletin?
I read that you are allowed to sell your copy of vBulletin.
I wish to do this. It is a leased version for one year and has not been used at all.
I purchased two days ago.
Personal reasons for this. I have also asked vBulletin if there is a refund opportunity which I don't think there is.
Much appreciated,
Alex.
PS: I'm not actually wanting to sell it on here - I want to sell it wherever I can but I don't know where to advertise lol.
You will need to contact sales@vbulletin.com if you are planning on doing this, there is a policy you will have to follow when you transfer a license to someone.
Please be away that you're not allowed to resell the license here or at vBulletin.com. There are many sites on the internet that will allow you to do this, webhostingtalk.com is one of them.

I would have thought various internet and distance selling laws would allow you a full refund after only two days.
Refunds will be given at the discretion of Jelsoft.
You should contact sales@vbulletin.com if you are intrested in a refund.
Thanks guys :)
I have talked to the mighty fine people at Jelsoft and the lady dealing with me said she will talk to the Manager!
I expect there could be administrative fees but I really can't afford it right now - it was a silly move and unfortunately things got a little weird at home and I need to help out!
Thanks for your help!

I don't think you'll need to pay any fees - a refund doesn't usually work that way as far as I know. I don't think it costs them anything to refund you.

If I'm right I think you have to have owned the licence for 3 months before you can sell it on. I'm sure I read that somewhere on vB's site when another person wanted to sell his licence.
But you should double check that out, don't take my word for it.

They will not easily give a refund. Reason is that they get a lot of requests like this from scammers:
- Order and pay for license
- Download files
- Chargeback

Just what I was thinking. Though, I don't know whether or not Jelsoft has this but I would of some system that records downloads and such. If the records show that the user hasn't downloaded anything from the members area, then they should be entitled to a refund.
Does vBulletin have a system similar to this?
