Open up you General vBulletin Options.
For the first thing, look for "Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template" in the "Style & Language Settings" group and set it to "Yes".

For the second thing look for "Depth of Sub-Forums" in the "Forum Listings Display Options" group and set it to "1" or higher.

That should do it :)
