Hello,

This is my first release here.

REQUIREMENTS: Google adsense account

This modification adds a google link below your "smilies" box when you are posting on the site.

When this link is clicked, google opens in an iframe at the top of the screen, keeping your members on the site.

I had a use for this on my site, so I figured I would toss it up here for others that may be interested in trying it out.

The "google search" is actually your google search through adsense. Each search is potentially profitable and if your members are consistently quoting links from google to information.

Installation includes:

File Uploads
Product Import
Template modification (Inserting your google search code)

The instructions are in the zip.
If you use this, click install please.

You can put "googlepop.php" and "googlepopframe.php" in one script and use an if statement to call the section you desire.

I won't go into details how because I don't want to explain.

Hello,

I am still in the "learning" as I go phase. I would be interested in learning what it is you are describing. I understand the concept, but wouldn't know how to write it up.

This looks good but I thought Google Adsense didnt allow us to use them in popups?

Hello,

Its not a popup, its actually an iframe.Technically you are browsing their site but the "new window" is a scaled iframe at the top of the page.

FYI, I tried this in 3.6.8 and it didn't work for me. I realize it is for 3.5.X, but you never know until you try :)
