avatar problem

There seems to be a avatar problem on my forum, I thought upgrading to 3.5.3 would fix it but it didnt. Where the avatar should be in the postbit it just says "usernames avatar" and sometimes, i dont know if its the same problem but alot of the images sometimes dont load and you gotta refresh for them to sho, it happens all the time. Anyone have any ideas?

Very likely to be caused by something in your .htaccess file. Do you have one and what is the content.

I had one and it was for the rewrite script, and i dont have it installed anymore and i deleted the file.
