This is the ported version of Dean C's Random User hack, which you can find here:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=73617
I have ported this hack to work on vbulletin 3.5.x. I also made it a product as well, so it should be a little easier to install.
What does this modification do?
This modification adds a new link to the admincp where you can select a random user. Filters are available that allow you to pick random users within a certain usergroup, and many other filter features.
Installation:
1. Upload all the files to your vbulletin forum directory.
2. Upload/Install the included product xml file.
Thats all thats to it!
Enjoy!

Awesome but it's not showing and I can't find the plugin after importing the product to see where it should be posted.
The link in admin panel is working though.

i'd love this as bbcode ...
[ranUser] or similar displays as a random user ... would be funny for OT games :D

What do you mean it's not showing? If the link is in the admin CP then it's installed. The random user is shown at the very top of the script.

I thought it displayed on the forumhome or somewhere like that.

its great to use to pick people for contest... it would be cool if you can change the filters to like more than 5 post, more than 2 referrals and so on.... rather than just anybody who doesnt contribute to the community.

This is kinda pointless if it doesn't show anywhere on the forums.

Not really. I coverted it because i needed somthing so i could pick users for a raffle.
It shows the user in the admincp.
It's called a "random User picker" for a reason... Not a "Display Random user"
This is kinda pointless if it doesn't show anywhere on the forums.

Good idea, sort of like a lottery system
But it should run on a random pick time basis so that we can set the day or time it picks and we would get a PM notifying us who the winner is, or a display will pop up on the home page with the winners name.
Just an idea.
