vBulletin 4.0?

I've never had vBulletin when a new version comes out (I've always had 3.5.3) What happens when a new version comes out, like 4.0? Do users lose all of their information, extensions, styles, etc?

well, when a new major version comes out, you can port a lot of things over, but not everything.

but on minor version upgrades, like 350 to 353 you don't loose anything important, most of the time even nothing :)
