Whats your single most favorite hack / mod / plugin that you have added to your site?

Also when you list it if you could give a link to the thread from where you got it so other can check it out.

Id say right now mine is the "Whos been on in the last 24 hours"

MICROSTATS Version 1.2 (for vBulletin 3.0.0)

Very good hack that can be used to check how the server is coping and used to track templates that are not cached. Been a god send at times in tracking un-cached templates after installing a hack etc. And we can't be doing with that.

Public display of affection reputation hack :)

I'm bias, but you probably know what it is. If you don't, I'll move onto the not-for-sale-but-not-publicly-available genre and go with the reputation enhancements for my site. Single-click reputation while viewing a post, plus unnecessarily detailed information about a user's reputation. You also get the ability to dispute reputation.

My God, you are the most self centered, egotistical person on this forum. If you're not blowing your own horn about your accomlishments you're bashing other peoples work or the people themselves.
Sad, very sad.
Now I'm sure you'll use your almighty mod skills and either kill my post or the whole thread.

My feeble attempt to get back on track - Inferno Quiz. I had to modify the hell out of it and will eventually rewrite it, but love it just the same.

I will now remove the gun pointed at your head forcing you to read my posts. I'm proud of my work. What do you want?

You will continue to note how I haven't attacked anybody, explicitly or implicitly, whereas you have quite clearly and explicitly attacked me.

Let's try to stay on topic here. :)

My favorite hack has to be vB Punch, it's so simple and efficient. Props to Alan, wherever you are now. :)

Agreed. I prefer my modifications merely because I have never installed a third-party modification. No disrespect intended of course, but I do not trust third-party code. That doesn't just go for vBulletin, but it can extend into normal applications and scripts for client-side use like extensions in Firefox. I also generally prefer knowing exactly how something affects my forums rather than knowing it works but not knowing the possible side effects.

I'm also anal as hell about things like code style and design, as you no doubt have guessed. It would irritate the hell out of me to see code suddenly clash with an established style guide. Even when getting examples of Java code from Sun's site and their wacky (lack of) style guide, I use Eclipse to reformat the code blocks before reading them.

Obviously there is high-quality work here, and you'll note that in the golden days of vB2, I released 40-some code modifications here and about that many (maybe more) template modifications at good old vBT, which should now be listed here as well.

However, to satisfy my lameness would require more time analyzing the third-party written code rather than writing it myself.

But I digress. I don't want to get into a big thing here.

Wow and what you just said was so mature. Who cares, let him like his own mod, and move on with your life. He isn't doing anything wrong. Fighting on the internet is worthless. :p
