I LOVE it! Being a nascar fan, I just may have to join. But it looks fantastic.
I was born and raised in the great state of North Carolina, we live for NASCAR around here. ;)
I registered. :)

I would make the style fluid instead of fixed...other than that I like it......count down to Daytona is on ;)

Very very nice! Very professional looking too! Great usage of colors, and I like the blue checkered catergory strips

Heheh... I grew up at daytona 500... this year will be the first one I've missed in 30 years. :surprised: My grandfather got me into it... I used to hang out in the pit with him.... he was Richard Petty's pit crew chief for 5 years, wayyyyyyyyy back when.

I used to love Daytona...I still do, but I always feel different watching it now...I was sitting in turn 4 on 'that one day' (18 Feb 2001)...Daytona has never been the same for me after that

Maybe more or bigger images might give it more of a home page feel. I don't think you need to do much spicing up. You don't want too much spice ;)

Drive fast, turn left is not for me but you have done a nice job.
Tracking out against a wall is insane. I'll stick to road courses with runoff. :)
I can't see the contact info at the bottom. The blue links don't appear visible.
Nice rounded corners though. Not a fan of calendars but I guess it will make sense once you post race days. Overall pretty nice job.

Being a passionate nascar fan myself, i've been working on a nascar site for quite some time, nice job though!! Gotta love NC! You should hear them dynoing the motors every week

SUGGESTIONS
1)__ stop using deprecated HTML (eg. font)
2)__ use a darker color fro body and a lighter shade of gray for cell background (this will bring the contents up front)
3)__ the marquee really s#cks ... about 99% of people never bother reading such things
4)__ the "NO" statusicon should be lighter (almost invisible)
5)__ the "CLOSED" statusicon should have a lock icon associated with it
6)__ add a SITE MAP, PRIVACY POLICY, and/or TOS
