I know you can set a global amount received for thread views, posts, etc. Also, you can change the amount per forum for thread views and so forth. You can also just set it so nothing is received in any particular forum. Any of this can be done by going to your AdminCP and find Forum & Moderators >> Forum Manager. Or you could go to Forum & Moderators >> Forum Permissions so that, if for example you wanted to set Registered users to gain 5 points per thread in only one forum and Super Moderators to gain 10 points per thread in all forums, it is possible to be more specific per usergroup.

So... If you want a more general setting, go for Forum & Moderators >> Forum Manager. If you want a more specific setting, go for Forum & Moderators >> Forum Permissions.

As far as reducing the points per forum (if that is what you were referring to when you said "take"), I am not sure if CM's hack can do that now... with him you never know. lol I'm sure if you asked, he could tell you better than I... he would obviously know.

Unfortunately that's the name of the game. Believe it or not, CMX is trying to make things easier. And even though there are alot of template changes, the future will start being a little easier...I won't that you will never have to make another template edit, because you probably will, but I know some of the recent edits will make future updates easier for him, and it won't require you to edit certain code in the templates.

I wouldnt see why they wouldnt, as long as they could do legally. From what I know its OK to be "compatible" as long as u dont nick their code.

Good news: v1.2.6 is coming soon ...

Bad news: But its gonna have to be put on hold because it has come to my attention someone has trademarked the word "ebux" in USA & Canada.

So this name will have to be changed, and what really sucks is there are a lot of ebux names inside this product, its gonna take an overhaul basically of every single PHP/XML file to update these changes.

We got an email that someone searched on google for ebux and our thread is coming up, haha, that must mean its very popular. In any case, I'll be changing it to comply and stay out of legal harms way.

When I trademarked Trackpads for example I found out that UPS actually trademarked the name "Trackpad" for their little handheld scanners. But the USPTO said I could have Trackpads because I was not in the shipping business.

One really stupid question, if I may, before I upgrade this hack. As Ebux is progressing rapidly, do you have to reconfigure all the various usergroup permissions, and other settings in the ebux admin control panel, each time you upgrade this hack?

Or do the "previous" settings remain???

I was considering that too as it would need to cache the template on the proper php files as well is the only issue I needed to research further to figure out how to do that.

The problem u r having is because u go back to Mass Forum Settings and it still shows 1, 15, 5? Is that correct because its HARD CODED to always show those numbers.

If you set them to 2, 20, 10 and then goto Forums & Moderators -> Manage Forums -> Forum u want to check, Edit it -> At the bottom it will say 2, 20 & 10.

The numbers there on that are NOT a setting anywhere, they are just there so u know what the defaults are.

The permissions for usergroups is no longer under usergroups edit, as an administrator I cant access the estore, it was there this morning when I first installed 1.2.5 then when I updated to 1.2.6 it went bye bye, I have tried reimporting the xml file that didnt help

ok since I had the awareness add on installed. I have uninstalled the plugin, removed the php file....but do I also have to remove the files from the image directory? or leave those alone as since v1.2.6 having ribbons integrated, I assume just uses the same paths and filenames?

Can someone posts some screenshots of the nav bar. My themes use the header and navbar to incorporate them together, so I'm trying to get my code right, but different actions happen with FF and IE.

With FF, when I select the estore menu, it pops up but to the far top left of the page.

With IE, when I select the estore menu, it pops up beneath the first menu and the original menu disappears.

Do I make any sense lol. I attached some screenshots. I had to slightly edit the code to make it work, but here it is.

Ok here's the deal with the ribbons.

Don't delete any files. If you do, it won't work anymore unless you reupload the store. CMX used the same file names etc as the addon had. Leave your images alone.

The only thing you need to do is install version 1.2.6 of eStore, make the necessary postbit changes, and then go to AdminCP >> eStore Ribbon Options >> Fix All Ribbon Postbits.

After you have done all of that...you can go to your AdminCP >> Plugin System >> Manage Products >> Awareness Ribbons and uninstall it from there. That is all you should have to do for everything to show up and work properly.

This is because the original awareness ribbons hack dating all the way back to the old ushop didn't have a fromuser field. So when purchases were made in the past they didn't log a fromuser. During the upgrade, CMX made it pull the userid you have set for the user that pm's are sent from to populate that field and cut down on possible bugs.

I am sure I am being incredibly dense here but is there anyway for admins to view the entire history log for all users?

I can only view my own history. I tried the search function in the admin panel to check out a query raised by one of my members but it's not detailed enough in what it returns (doesn't show to whom they tried to thieve for example).

Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager --> Edit whatever usergroup you want.

Do what I had to do to get it for now....view the history, then change the URL from 'itemhistory' to 'action' and it will work....for the life of me I don't know why it isn't working...

Perhaps this has already been requested, but I'd like to be able to turn off the display, receiving, and pm of gifts and ribbons on a per user basis (options in the user cp so the user can do it themselves).

Everyone forgets to look at the settings for usergroups. Tons of settings there.

Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager --> Edit whatever usergroup you want.

Perhaps they do, but here's mine (and surely I wouldn't be able to view even my own history log if this was incorrectly set, let alone everyones which is what I am looking to do).

Also, I am unable to use the admin donate function despite having the usergroup id's in the estore setting (I have usergroupid 6 for administrators, and 12 for superadministrators so the setting is 6,12). Any ideas on both issues?

I have double checked all the code by doing a search for it and it is all correct, but I still get that error/bug, I do not know where to look now. I have spent the last day trying to find it and I would rather not start over from scratch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open that up and find eStore_main and revert it as well as any other templates in the estore template group that is red instead of black.

Yes you are supposed to click on the "<< >>" to the right of the "Go" button in the picture you attached. It will expand your templates and then you will see "eStore Layout Templates". Double click on that and it will open even more templates...locate estore_main, click on it once so it's highlighted, and click the "Revert" button over to the right of it.

If you don't know how to access this portion of the site...I am not sure this will fix your problems...It sounds like you didn't know how to edit it. Did you import the product.xml file when you upgraded? If so did you check yes on "Allow Overwrite?"?

Ok here's the deal with the ribbons.

Don't delete any files. If you do, it won't work anymore unless you reupload the store. CMX used the same file names etc as the addon had. Leave your images alone.

The only thing you need to do is install version 1.2.6 of eStore, make the necessary postbit changes, and then go to AdminCP >> eStore Ribbon Options >> Fix All Ribbon Postbits.

After you have done all of that...you can go to your AdminCP >> Plugin System >> Manage Products >> Awareness Ribbons and uninstall it from there. That is all you should have to do for everything to show up and work properly.

ok I did that, but I still have 2 listings for Awareness Ribbons under estore options > manage options >....

I also just tested and if I purchase a ribbon they don't show up in postbit, and that's after running the fix ribbons postbits. I can even do a search for ribbons and nothing shows up for that user. I'm sure there is something dumb I'm missing here.

But, I copy and pasted the amount I had in hand and tried to deposit it in the bank, it said I did not have enough cash for this action, remove .01 points off and I goes through..?

It's a minor bug, since the value that the bank uses is rounded off, it will not be the exact same and the value is microdigits off thus causing it to think u do not have enough points, it will be fixed in the next release.

Revert all estore templates and make sure the template edits u have done say stuff like <phrase 1="$vbphrase[ebux_points]"> etc.. there were some new template edits for that version.

dunno why, but with 1.2.6 installed,everyone now shows that i have given them their awareness ribbons in their postbits...my names after all of them????

It uses the default pm user id to avoid any complications when copying over the old ribbons from the older system used by caimakale.

Is this just mine or does everyone have all members being able to set points for people to download there attachments and not have the ability to turn them off at all.

In the admincp i set this to 0 but they still can set a cost.

There's a few settings for this. If you do not want them to be able to set a cost, you have to change that 0 to a default value that it will charge for all attachments.

Deleting ribbons doesn't seem to work unless I delete all ribbons.

I'm testing this in the new v1.5.0 and it seems to be working fine now, so I must have fixed this bug already.

Is there any options available or planned for the following options?

-Add PM capacity to a single user account
-Add Attachment space to a single user
-Add the option to recieve PM receipts
-Add the option to deny PM receipts

See attachment, it's like this for every member in their profile. Shouldn't it show as being sent by them, or another member instead of me?

Thats how it had to be done to save the old gifts since the old ribbon table didnt have a fromuserid field.

How about an automated PM that gets sent to all active users 1 day prior to the Lottery ending, reminding users to purchase tickets and an automated PM after Lottery to all users that have purchased tickets informing everyone who has won.

Not sure if would be possible but it my forum would benefit greatly from this.

Yes, they are in there as phrases... search for ribbon as the phrase name and it should popup the ones u want.

I can only view my own history. I tried the search function in the admin panel to check out a query raised by one of my members but it's not detailed enough in what it returns (doesn't show to whom they tried to thieve for example).

In the admin search feature, if u leave all fields blank, it will list ALL of the history that is in the history table. If you goto the store itself and click on a category there is a View history there that is more detailed of who did what.

There is a double check on the Admin Donate feature, Manage Options -> Admin Donate and check the Additional Usergroups you want to have access to Admin Donate there as well as putting the id's in the Admin Usergroups in the eStore Options.

You can disable Thief entirely by Manage Options -> Theif -> Active set to OFF.

The eBux / eStore Product XML you have imported does not match the same Version number as the PHP files uploaded. Please reupload all PHP files to your forum's root folder. Then re-import the Product XML file with Allow Overwrite set to Yes.

In your Admin CP go to Plugin System (near the bottom on the left) > Manage Products and then at the bottom you will see [Add/Import Product]. Click on that and then browse your pc for that file and click the Import button. :)

eBux eStore Permissions are located at the bottom of the usergroup page. (IE: usergroups, usergroups manager, edit usergroup). If it's not, then perhaps your pluggin didn't install correctly.

this is a great mod however there is a part of it that is conflicting with vbadvanced links dir....

Only question, the ribbons imported/convertered over from 3.0.x, is it possible to convert the gifts over as well?? And the name colors etc??

I was able simply rename the uttpoints field to "ebux" and I got my points back. The bank also looks harder to simply rename. Is it hard to import the old ustore/ucash fields into ebux/estore?? (referring to the old gifts, name color changes, bank points etc)..

I have uploaded all the files to the necessary folders within the upload folder and also installed the plugin.

But I still receive this message:

Your user group does not have permission to purchase eStore Options.

I have also looked through all the user groups for options but there are non.

The only options I have are the ones in vBulletin Options which are "ebux settings" & "estore settings" both of these are turned on and I have checked the options many times and cannot find anything wrong with them. :(

Has this happened to anyone else?

I replied to this thread because that is a serious issue as it checked to see if THIS_SCRIPT was defined and in the newer version VB_AREA is what it checks to see which will always be defined using vB's global.php file.

Have you tried to "Fix all gift/ribbons postbit" from ACP? I did this sometimes with a very high value (20000) and they all showed up.

All I did was look at the original mod and reversed the steps for editing the templates and then followed the instruction for the new one.

I'm having a couple of problems. One is ongoing and one is recent, since I upgraded to vbPlaza/vbBux.

The first is the ongoing one, the option in the control panel to allow other usergroups to use admin donate simply does not work. It saves the changes, but users in the other usergroups besides admin can not use admin donate.

The second just arised with the upgrade. Every usergroup besides admin gets the notice "you do not have permission to purchase this item" when trying to view any item category, hence users cant use the vBplaza at all, except the administrator...

Kind of how it is now, but instead, if they pm me, i will set it up and I will put a reasonable amount of points for the attachment, then when someone downloads the attachment, the user who made the thread get the points.

i had the same problem...it seems to be something to do with the way a board displays .PNG images.

bit of a ballache, but try to do wot i did...and rename ALL the images in the categories, and options, to .GIF...
they display then....

some ppl get this problem, most dont.....think its the way the image libraries work....PHP version perhaps???

having a weird problem here. I upgraded following the instructions, however somehow ebux/estore did NOT uninstall correctly, so now in my usergroup manager there's a section for it (with blanks since the phrases where deleted), besides the vbstore/vbbux section.
Problem is it attempts to update the now non existent ebux tables, and obviously returns a mysql error. Therefore I can do NOTHING right now with my usergroups.

is that not usergroups->usergroupmanager->edit the usergroup you want-> adjust the vbBux vbPlaza Permissions there and then it should work m8

Steps to get vbBux/vbPlaza working.

1. Go to your admincp --> vbBux --> Manage Settings and go through all the settings here. They are pretty self explanatory. Make sure 'Enable
vbBux Points System?' is YES.

3. Go to your admincp --> vbPlaza --> Manage Categories. Make sure the categories you want to display in the store are set to yes and click 'Save Settings' at the bottom of the category list. Then edit the categories you will use and make sure you set the 'Allowed Usergroups' to the usergroups that can see that category.

You can also set some of the option settings here also. I'm having this same problem.

The buttons work in Firefox but not IE. The paths are correct, I can see the source point to "images/vbplaza/bank.png" for example. When I copy and paste the url the image shows up.

I think it has to do with the AlphaImageLoader... which I think is Microsoft's way of displaying transparency in PNG files.

I installed a PNG transparency plugin called "PNG Alpha Transparency with MSIE 6" (check your installed Plugins).

When I disabled it, the images showed up fine.

Sounds like it did not install fully. Make sure all the files were uploaded and overwritten and maybe reinstall the product makeing sure that Allow Overwrite is set to YES.

Just in case someone had the same problem I did about estore not uninstalling completely, I just manually added a column named `ebuxestorepermissions` to the usergroup table, and it's working.
It's certainly a dirty fix, but I needed to get that working ASAP.

When a user buys a ribbon or gift, they get charged for it. When the page is refresshed or the user goes to any other page, the money is given back to them.

edit the phrases....for example...
if you wanted to edit the black ribbon, you would edit the phrase...

I just installed this (3.5.4) a few days ago and now some of my members are getting database errors while logging in. This happened to me once yesterday as well.


Each time I have to go into phpmyadmin and erase the vbbux, vbbank and
vbp_nextbankinterest cells in order for them to be able to log in. I probably dont need to erase all 3 but it works.

Hopefully someone can help me with this quickly so I don't have to go through restoring all of the permission settings back again that I changed for this mod to work. That took a whole day to figure out lol

I just installed this (3.5.4) a few days ago and now some of my members are getting database errors while logging in. This happened to me once yesterday as well.


Each time I have to go into phpmyadmin and erase the vbbux, vbbank and
vbp_nextbankinterest cells in order for them to be able to log in. I probably dont need to erase all 3 but it works.

Hopefully someone can help me with this quickly so I don't have to go through restoring all of the permission settings back again that I changed for this mod to work. That took a whole day to figure out lol

When uploading any avatar or profile pic now through vbplaza I get the following error

I have no idea where this -1 is coming from

This does happen with any image type we try to upload thru the store

I know you have the option to select "Change Always". Where the user buys it once and then can change it for free if you enable that for the changeable items. But I dont want this, I want them to buy it again if they change there mind, but for this to work, they need to have a preview of what there name will look like with the change username color, glow, bold etc.

Have a preview box, so when they go to buy a username color, glow, bold etc, they can see what it will look like. Very important when they are trying to find the right glow for a certain username color. I remember ushop used to have this, and i have so many members requesting this on my site, could this be done in the next update?

edit, Just upgraded from 1.22 to the latest. It went smoothly. The template edits look way better now because they will be easier to find in the future.

However i'm still getting the error of You are not allowed to view Lottery Winners. But i think thats just a permission problem that i need to fix up after the update.

I am having the problema (after upgrading to the latest version today), that all my Users are getting an error message, that their post includes too less characters. I have limited it to 10 characters minimum and I have tried it with a text including 20 to 200 characters. I am getting the same error message. I have disabled the Extension and now it works again. What would have been great would have been an extra set of instructions... for upgrades ONLY... with the templates as they were from eBux/eStore.
Having to do this new upgrade to vPlaza from eStore, but only having the virgin code to hunt for, and none of it was the same because I had eBux installed... was a huge pain in the petushie!

I had something similar happen...I noticed that gifts showed up fine for my users that had AIM/MSN/etc. information entered (so that the icons showed up in the postbit, but gifts didn't show up for the members with no IM info. I got to looking at the postbit template (in my case postbit_legacy) and the code around the IM stuff was missing an end-if tag so the show gift/ribbon code was getting included with the IM code. Once I added another end-if tag, it worked fine.

Don't know if this applies to you, but thought I'd throw it out there... :)

I am thoroughly impressed with this hack. I loved the original one, but this one has it beat by far, IMO. :)

need help...........Sounds like a plugin is causing an error. If you have a bunch of them installed, it could be something other than vbbux or vbplaza. Try disabling vbbux/vbplaza first and check your site. Keep doing it until you find which plugin is causing the problem. Make sure you disable them in the product manager.

You could also try reimporting the xml file and uploading all of the vbplaza files again.

Check your AdminCP >> Usergroups settings. Look for the vbPlaza settings and set them to allow permission to the store.

Did you select Allow overwrite when you imported the new xml file? Check your database to see if there is a "cost" field in your "arcade_games" table. If not try reimporting your xml file allowing overwrite and see if it fixes your problem.

I checked and the "cost" field didn't exist.... so I tried importing the xml again (with overwrite selected) but it still didn't create the cost field... I have over 700 games in the arcade, could that be causing a problem?
