I will be hosting several forums for other people who want "some" control over the settings of the forums they moderate. The forums will have a separate style and template set.
I don't want to allow a "super" moderator full Control Panel access, but I need to allow them the ability to change SOME of the settings only on the forum they moderate, like:
1)Announcements (Yes)
2)Add forums (No)
2)Add/modify other moderators for their forum (except the Administrator (me) but not be able to give them Control Panel access or edit/delete MY (owner/admin) name.
3)Options (Yes) (on own forum)
4)Threads (Yes)
5)User titles (Yes)
6)Avatars (Yes)
7)Backup database (No)
8)Maintenance (No)
9) Icons (No)
10)Smilies (no)
11)Custom BB codes (No)
12)Stats for own forum (Yes)
13)User profile fields
14)User groups and permissions (yes but only on own forum and should not be able to assign CP access)
15)Styles (yes) for own forum
16)Replacement variables (no)
17)Templates (no)
Is this possible? I was thinking of something along the lines of a yes/no access priveleges page that is only
accessible by the admin/owner who can assign the limited access to moderators by forum id.
Then either the moderator opens the admin control panel and either doesn't "see" functions they have not been given permission to use or is denied access. Or perhaps a separate control panel for "super" moderators that only shows the functions selected by the admin/owner for them to have access to.
Anyone else have a use for this?
