I currently have the Minimum Characters Per Post setting set to 50 characters to prevent silly "lol" and "i know" posts.

However, for the fun and games forums, I need to allow shorter characters to be allowed. Which files/settings do I need to change to accomplish this?

Thanks

Unless I have missed it, I also would be of serious interest to a hack like this.

Thanks in advance if anyone happens to take it on. :)

Just checking, have any of you guys managed to get a solution for this ???
I am REALLY interested in this.

Example : Min characters 100 for all forums (to avoid spam), but in the Moderators only forum we want to be short and want this limit to be much lower.

Anybody able to help, please let us know.

Thank you !

You would have to have a hack to accomplish this. I did one for my site that goes by usergroups, but not forums.

Boofo,

That would be the 2nd best thing.
The MOD usrgrp could be applied this hack.

Can you please help by giving me details on how to do this?

Thanks !

May not work on 3.7, yet.

Yes, I forgot about that. Dismounted has one that will do exactly what you want. Now, if we can talk him into added the usergroups option, I will go with that one. ;)

Probably? Time? That is so foreign to me. ;)
