Inserting a php text counter into vb

Hi there,
i am running vb version 1.1.5 and would like to ask if there is any special hack to insert a php text counter "counting # of visitors" into my vb, in footer for example! If there is no hack, can someone help me adding the counter script? I tried creating a new tamplete containing the include code of the script then added the tamplete name inside the footer but unfortunatly i got no success.

Just open up the footer code, and add the counter text there. It is probably something like: (<? include ("/path/to/counter/"); ?>, Right?

If you find the 'footer' template, and add that code where you want it, it should work.

Just have a look at the post I did a couple of days ago, called grahical counter. This should give you enough info to make a text counter as well.
