How to remove bar inbetween postuserinfo and postmessages?

I want to remove the bar that is between postuserinfo such as avatar, usergroup, date, time and the actual post messages. Included is an attachment. I've been looking around for a while in the templates and I have no clue where to look now. Help is appreciated thanks. :ninja:

I guessed that, I just can't find it.. I've tried trial and error with the postbit template. Is it a <div> ?

What's a "bar"?

Are you talking about the horizonal line (1) below the post title? Or, the border (2) between the 2 shaded areas?

1)__ look for <hr /> tag
2)__ border is caused by the table cellspacing

you could switch to the legacy postbit... it looks a lot better... i had to do this to integrate my site design with my big vB/ModernBill hack.

Looks like the image in that particular row is statusicon/post_old.gif or statusicon/post_new.gif. Look for those in the postbit template, see what else is in the row, and edit accordingly.

If you want to post up a link to something I can view the source on, It'd be easier to tell you what you're looking for.

hi tercede, there's no bar there. it looks like a bar because the cellspacing is set to allow X number of pixels between adjacent cells.

what you're seeing is a sliver of the entire background color of your postbit template.
