Description::.
This hack allows to you to replace any word in you forum's posts
Installation::.
1.Import The Product.
2.upload replacer.php to admincp
3.upload cpnav_word_replacer.xml to includes\xml
History::.
1.8 On 29. Jan 2006 Initial Version.
1.9 On 29. Jan 2006 Fixes 2 bugs

Attention
Don't put a big number because this may cause high server load

I usually dont doubt peoples mods, but what does this do that the replacement variables doesnt which is a built in vBulletin function

Ok 1st off i get this error when i search for a word but with no replacement word

When i chose a word to replace with a lod of text it didnt work!
I click go back and that dont work either
Any advice please?

Do these work on posts and threads though, i thought they only worked on the templates and so on?
I usually dont doubt peoples mods, but what does this do that the replacement variables doesnt which is a built in vBulletin function

Yep tried that as well....I have tried small made up words to replace made up words incase i did work and changed stuff i didnt want it to lol

Yes, thats why i was wondering the difference.
and it doesnt physically change the word like this seems to do, say you hate it when people call "wheels" "rims"
You enter rims into the replacement variables, make it change it to wheels or whatever you wish and thats it. And the ability to edit it per theme also makes this super cool

wouldnt you just enter the word you want replaced, and then what you replace it with, enter the link?

excellent hack, i needed to edit a bunch of parsed rss articles to remove "<br /> from the posts.
is there any way to have the word replacer continuously run, ie, if anyone posts with the word "dog" in their posts, it automatically changes it to "cat"?

Not working. I don't have the option in the admin CP. I refreshed several times, and I uploaded the php file to the admin CP, but to no avail. I could realy use this. ;)

Since upgrading to 3.6 this hack no longer works, it gives this db error

It's a mistake in the code, you could go into replacer.php and replace all instances of "post_parsed" with "postparsed".

you really made my day :) that worked great :) the original uploader must change this in the files ASAP
