Many forum owners spend a large amount of time dealing with members with bouncing emails (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91176)
When I receive a bounce message for a user whose email address is no longer valid I set his primary usergroup to 'Awaiting confirmation' and his secondary usergroup to 'Invalid email' (I created this usergroup). When the person next logs in they get a message displayed at the top of the forums saying that their 'email address may be invalid, etc - please update their profile.
The reason why I set their secondary usergroup to 'Invalid email address' is because when emailing users I would like to be able to not send email to users in that group. In vB3.5.x you can choose which primary groups to send / not to send email to but the option doesn't exist for secondary usergroups. I'd like to be able to send emails based on both primary and secondary usergroups.
I'd also like to be able to have vB automatically remove the 'Invalid email address' secondary group (at the same time the primary usergroups is set to 'Registered user') when the user confirms their account.
