The Only problem is, I feel I've paid enough already for vBulletin, I'm not gonna buy an article hack.
I along with others are waiting on http://www.vbarticles.com

Why has vB not included an Articles system? It seems only natural that this would be the desire of many!
???
Thanks.

You could easily make use the "Thread Prefix" feature and then add some modifications (e.g. Chief First Post - Every Page 3.7 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=178331&highlight=chief)) to get the look of an article system.
I doubt Jesloft would create an article system, as it would be so similar "Thread in a Forum" so there isn't a need to make another system to run along side it. Also there doesn't seem such a huge demand for it.
(P.S. the above is my personal opinions only :))

I too have been searching all over for a good article system to use. vBArticles seems to have been the best one out there yet it no longer exists. :(

Advanced Forums over at provb.org comes with an article layout. Uses vBulletin's forum and thread system to convert them to articles. more info (http://www.provb.org/vb_products.php?&vb_products=moreinfo&productid=11).
