Pre-sales questions about extensions, but I can't post.

I'm thinking about converting my site forums from Ikonboard to vBulletin, but only if I can find hacks or extensions that will allow me to integrate the forums with other areas of my site.

I've seen some extensions that sound close to what I'm looking for here in the "vB3.5 Extensions" forums. I would like to post questions for clarification, but I'm not allowed because I'm not a licensed user yet.

Is there anyway I can post questions about extensions before I decide to purchase?

The presales forum would be the place for your questions. Detailed technical how-tos won't be answered there, but general stuff like, "does this do that?" will be.

the forum where you are actually in not the official website...

when you are registered and licensed (have bought the software) you will be able to post your requests here... because this forum is for clients only...

btw, a small answer... vBulletin have portals, galleries, links databases and a lot more... and most of these are completely free once you have bought vBulletin!

... and vBulletin have an ImpEx script that will import all your datas from the ikonboard to vbulletin... in less than 10 clicks!

Thanks for the info. The link from the customizations forum on the official site sent me here, and my question is specifically about hacks and extensions, so this seemed like the best place. Before making a purchase I want to make sure I can do what I want with integration on other areas of my site.

I have posted my question in the presales forum on this site, and I hope that's okay.

btw, a small answer... vBulletin have portals, galleries, links databases and a lot more... and most of these are completely free once you have bought vBulletin!


Is there a directory or web site somewhere that has compiled and categorized all these add-ons, or do I just have to search the web to find them? I've been looking around on this site and the .com site, but I don't see anything like this.
