That said, do you have a link to the forum in question? I'm not really understanding what you're trying to do.

Still new to all of this php and mysql stuff?

$post[message] works because, the postbits functions make it happen.

We query the database for a specific row, and get the data.

Then we use $post[message] to show the data we queried.
