I am looking for critiques with regard to the skin, graphic's, mods and what ever else you feel like critiquing. Site http://www.darkhex.us
I set up test accounts for you all:
user name: t****r
password: t****r
or
user name: t****r1
password: t***er1
Edit: test users removed on 1-29-06, thanks again for the input.
Does the homepage look neat and professional??
Do I have too many buttons on the header??
Do I have too many mods??
Thanks for any input.

using a pre-made skin (tren-z actually) is not really the best way to be unique... but as it's a neat skin, that's ok...
thew shoutbox take eternity to load... maybe you can make it disabled by default...
for the mods/hacks, i suppose you want them because your users will require them, so it is good to answer members interests... for my concern, the more discreet, the more efficient...

Thanks for the observations....
I like all those mods so I assume that the members would also.
I would like very much to make my own vb skins, but can't find tutorial on how to make skin with xml files.....etc.....
The shoutbox disable by default would help with page loading, I'll give it a try, thanks.

creating skins is easier directly in the templates editor... because xml are for export of the result... or you are a good webdesigner that does not need to see the results of the work!

If you can make your own skin, it adds a lot more individuality to the site.
As for your forums:
-Too many forums
-Shoutbox needs to be moved to the bottom. It deters posting if you place it at the top and creates extra scroll to get to the forum list.
-Stastistics needs to be moved to the bottom too, as its not exactly the most important part of your forum and creates scroll to get to your forum list.
