Has anyone ever thought of making a news system for vBulletin? It doesn't sound like it's possible as it could be difficult but why not give it a shot? I am really searching for a news system that can be integrated with my forums.

PHPCow u mean? :ermm:
It is fully intergrated with Vb3. But it is so expensive.... :tired:
The idea is, creat a News forum that only post news, then install a Vbadvanced CSM , call them newsportal.php something, then only pull threads and posts from that News Forum, then you have a news portal at no cost lol...

Oh yes, I forgot about Cinq , lol , yeah Aftermath, you can use his Hack call VbArticle as your news system too, it's a sweet hack.
I want to install VbArticle too, but I am too busy to post news and stuff, so I will look into future once I find someone can help me to update the site daily....
it's not really designed to be a news system.
would be interested to hear the OP's thoughts on what he needs out of a news system :)

But my friend used to use VbArticle as a news system a year ago, but then he went to the army now so the site is closed.
I still remember his members used to contribute around average 100 daily news/day which they collected from other sites.
oh ok then, versatility is good lol :D

yep, it would be of much help, if you could tell about what your news system should be capable of
a simple newsportal like for example vb.org uses has been released in a few ways :)

A news portal I too can benefit from. Plus, if possible, some type of intergration on how it displays. Example in this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91069). Though, I'm not crazed about editing core .php files.
