I figure there has to be someone here using one.

I'm looking for a simple freeware diff utility that'll just take two bits of code/text/whatever and lay out the differences. Any recommendations? :)

Eclipse does a shiny job, although it's overkill if all you want to do is diff files.

My little open source program written in Delphi 2006. It has been in development for 2 years and is finally outta "development" in other words, not just sitting on my hard drive. It is called the Knobend NFO/DIZ Editor. Give it a try, it is free for all to use:

The only one I can find is the one linked to earlier in the thread. But that's not the one I'm thinking of, and so probably not the one you mean.

* peterska2 slaps nexy and sets him 1000 lines to write 'I must remember to search first'

* nexialys click on BBEdit, create a new document, and copy/paste the line from this post, click on 'Paste Column' and type 1000 just to do the job quickly !

oh, btw, the best code editor you can have for mac is BBEdit... but you need a good budget to purchase it!

>>edit for my wife: "btw" is NOT "bbw" !
