display calender events below header?

I'd like display calender events under the header, much like I have at my current forums (http://socaltrailriders.org/forums/) but this will go on my new vBulletin installation.

The most similar thing I found when I searched was the mini calender (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=68117)
