Check if moderator on non-vb page?

I have my site set up so I can check for users logged in and all that sort of stuff on a non-vb page. That all works fine...

What I want to do is check to see if the logged in user is a moderator and if yes just echo out a message...

So how can I check to see if a users primary user group is moderator?
