Howdy,
I went through the entire plugin forum, one page at a time looking... No luck.
I want to be able to have a Sponsor's section on my forum. Within this section, each paying sponsor would have their own subforum. This would allow them to post info about services, sales, promotions, etc,...
At a minimum, it would be helpful if in the forum properties, an expiration date could be set manually. After that expiration date, that forum's permissions automatically change so that only the admin can see it. It would also be helpful to be able to specify a user as the owner of this forum. Then an automated PM or email could be sent to the owner of that forum notifying them that their expiration date is approaching and that they need to renew.
It would be nice if there were a way for all of this to be automated so that the only involvement on my part is the initial creation of the sponsor's subforum before they pay. Then when they pay, the forum shows up. If they fail to renew, their forum is no longer viewable by anyone other than the admin. Then if they renew, the forum is visible again.
Use of the VB subscription service would be nice, but is not required as I can always manually extend the expiration date for a forum after receiving a renewal payment via paypal. If the subscription service could be used, I would only want a single button instead of a long list of buttons, like one for each sponsor. It would be nice if they had to use their username and password to complete the subscription so that no one else could affect their status and it would connect the subscription payment to the forum owner name for startup/renewal purposes.
Am I off in lala land here or is this doable? I am totally NOT a programmer. I am a total user :nervous: So please don't waste your time trying to tell me how to program it myself. It would be harder than teaching a pig to sing and dance :classic:
