Editing posts... Is a copy of the original saved?

Hey Folks.
Just a quick question.
When a user edits a post they have made, does VBulletin save a copy of the original post?

How would it? There is not a table in the database for that. I thought that when you edit a post, that post is changed in the database, and that was that.
