I'm not trying to get into trouble here by posting this but I know the admins come here so....

Is vBseo down or is it just my connection? I just bought it and as soon as I get the e-mail saying I can download it the site went bye-bye :ermm:

You could of pmed someone or contacted them via their tech support email. This is not the place to post.

But since we are here already, is the fuctionality of your boards effected by their site?

Yes, it's down. And no, as long as you have your license number in your config file, it will not affect your site.

this is not a reason to post here...

same thing if i would contact the Pope from here if i knew he was visiting this same site for fun... why would i?... because he visit this site, would be easier for me to post a public thread about "hey Pope, can you tell God i'm waiting for this fortune he promissed me when i was dreaming of Jesus ?!"

please refrain from using this forum for contacting external persons... your arguement is not valid at all.

* peterska2 thinks .......................

Isn't one of the options in the forum manager to warn administrators so that it's not just the mods of the forum in question who recieve the reported post emails?

* peterska2 taps my fingers (then sneezes)

You have been being a little keen the last couple of days Nexy, unless it's just that I've not been at my usual standard.

I also see on there site (yeah I know it's back up) that they have this new vBSEO Articles thing advertised as NEW and coming soon.

Any vBSEO owners know more about this new product who post on there site regular

It's not a product, it's just a section for posting articles related to SEO in general.

I don't see the problem with him asking here. Give the guy a break. If you have enough time to complain about someone's thread asking for a heads-up, you really need to get yourself a real life.

Hi All,

Yes, the vBSEO server was down for 12 hours after a hard disk failure. More info here (http://www.vbseo.com/f5/vbseo-down-12-hours-2960/).

Anybody knows of any alternative to this encrypted and control freak VBSEO software? An alternative that doesn't care whether my site has adult content? Thanks in advance.

It's hard to form a community if you don't have at least one forum where you can ask people casual questions like this one.

Because "casual" may define the demeanor but it doesnt define the content. The content or subject is a paid hack that has its own support system. It is against the rules here to talk about such topics currently.

No, it's not ;) The rules state that people other than the paid mod creators - or people who are asked to by the paid mod creators - can post threads about paid modifications. They aren't allowed to promote their stuff, but they can answer questions here, etc. It's clearly outlined on the rules page.

Sit back in your lazy-boy recliner and chat away. This forum intends to host any kind of chat except vbulletin and hacking issues!

I am glad you did not report it! It would have been pointless since this thread did none of that.

It was a simple question pertaining to a website. Was the website down or was it their connection.

Had nothing to do with hacking vbulletin or vbulletin at all! The site content might have but the question did not!

it will always tweak some of the guys here that would want a non-computerized lounge... there is plenty of places where to discuss about internet, computers, games etc...

btw, vbseo is now on, so please close this thread!

Why close a thread that isn't violating rules and has an active conversation? That would be overmoderation in my book.

It does seem to cross an ethical line with me. I wouldnt post here asking if IBP site was down. Might not be against the rules but for me it isnt right. I am aware that everyone's ethics are different so theres no need to argue that mine are wrong, lets not go there. ;)

Actually the site was down for me for a litte while yester.. Who is your host/datacenter? Or were you doing some changes/backups/etc that would slow the site down for a brief while?

ConqSoft

The next time the site is down for you, do a tracert to see that the problem isn't somewhere between you and their server.

lazytown
01-24-2006, 12:22 AM
No it wasn't my end because I have redundant internet connections and checked from more than one ISP. It could have been their datacenter being slow (running on a backup pipe for a short while).

It's still possible it was on your end... Try a tracert next time.
