I understand that this would probably be more feasable in conjuction with the new hacks db and related vb.org upgrade to 3.5 but Revan makes a good point in this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=854496&postcount=71) about forum posts being difficult to use for reporting bugs that may appear in a hack. So would it be possible to include a version of the vbulletin bug tracker for hacks/mods/plugins/themes/etc?
At the very least, it might provide a more organized way for users to find an answer to an issue they've come across since searching is sometimes problematic.

as the hacks themselves are not supported by the guys of vb.org, it would be irrelevent to provide a full features bug-report system, as it would mean that someone manage the reports etc...
if a coder release a hack, the less of it is to provide support and debugs from inside the thread they create... if they debug, reports will cease one day because the tools will be ok...

Why would it be irrelevant to provide an enhancement to make it easier for the users and contributors to make use of the resource that is vbulletin.org?
Some threads are 30+ pages, even using the inthread search its hard to find specifics posts that reference a bug or issue and the possible corresponding post in which a members offers a fix.
The premium hacks forum was a good step towards resolving this but it could be better - hence the request for the bug tracker.
btw I am not saying that the vb.org team should provide support, just a method by which the hack authors can better organize bug reports. I understand not all hack authors provide fixes or support but soemtimes users will.

I an idea.
I am fairly new to coding vbulletin so I got a lot of error reports about my mod.
I think there should be an option on the new post thread for sending fixes via PM to certain users.
If two people have the same error I would fix the error (assuming it's my script and not them) then I would post the fix and insert the names in a box that I want a PM to go to.
The PM will notify the user(s) about the update.

Harmor, there's already a feature for hack authors to send out emails to users who have installed a particular mod. Usually the author includes details of the upgrade in that notification. :)
Bug tracking is on our to-do list, no ETA on when we will see it here though.

But that goes out to everybody.
If I found the problem 3 days from now then I would send out an email but if someone posts the error in like 10 minutes then I would fix the file(s) re-upload the zip and do what I said in my post above yours.

If no one meant this I have an idea.
When someone adds a new hack a link to a bug tracker is automatically generated.
